Are you kidding? Maybe in a couple of years . These people are not known for their bureaucratic swiftness or ccompetence. Plus these are rich folks making the decisions and THEY are not personally affected.

I’m travelling to Sri Lanka on 6th January 2025 until 27th January including a 4 nights stay in the Maldives do I need to apply for a Visa
I’m reading mixed comments saying that from 1st October 2024 for 6 months no visa is needed?
Could someone please guide me on this

Hi,
It clearly mentions that for India and few other countries its visa free. All we need to fill in is ETA.
I am traveling to SL from India in December 1st week. Tried applying for ETA on its official website,. As soon as I put in country as INDIA, it just throws a popup saying “You are welcome to Sri Lanka without an ETA”

No further application is allowed. Pls help what to do.

Hi,
Maybe the SL Embassy in Pretoria has some information not yet published by the ministries but, the ETA portal still indicates that only “nationals of China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Japan are eligible for a free visa.
When you submit an application on the website https://www.eta.gov.lk, fees are still charged for British and New Zealand citizens.
